Alejandro (Alex) Arregui
Board Member
Alex Arregui is the Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer at Door Capital Partners. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business where he served as a Fund Manager at the McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund and is an active member of ULI and the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He also holds a Master's in Corporate Finance from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. Before founding Door Capital Partners, he founded Bonanza Corp USA, a family private equity fund that invests in residential and commercial properties in Texas.
Alex enjoys a good morning run, and he is preparing for a half-marathon. In his time, he loves spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Gerardo (Jerry) Carreno

Jerry Carreno is a co-founder and board member of Door Capital Partners, he has been instrumental in defining the company's strategy and driving its growth. He holds an Asset Management and Real Estate Development certification from Cornell University, a Business Degree from IPADE Business School, and a Business Strategy certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With over 15 years of experience in real estate development, hotel operations, and asset management, Jerry has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results through transformative projects across the United States and Latin America.
Jerry is passionate about exploring innovative concepts in hospitality and development. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family, engaging in sports, and embracing the outdoors.
Alejandro (Alex) Suarez

Alex Suarez is a co-founder of Door Capital Partners and currently serves as Chairperson on its Board of Directors. He contributes experience, strategy, and vision to the management of the company. He is a licensed attorney in Texas and Mexico. He has structured dozens of real estate and investment deals for the past 25 years. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Notre Dame.
Alex loves art and is a member of the Meadows Museum of Art in Dallas. He enjoys running and is preparing for his next half marathon.
Jose Bort
Board Member
José brings over 30 years of executive experience across Europe and Latin America, with a strong background in strategic management, commercial growth, and organizational development. He has held key roles such as Commercial Director for a multinational in Spain and General Manager of Henkel Mexico, leading expansion, efficiency, and innovation initiatives. He later co-founded companies in consulting and cybersecurity, and now serves as CEO of Bort & Domínguez Consulting, advising on scaling operations, commercial optimization, and investor relations. He holds a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Commercial Management, combining people-focused leadership with a data-driven strategic approach.
Luis Antonio Paredes

Full time professor at IPADE Business School with more than 25 years of experience in business strategy and corporate governance consulting in institutional and family owned companies operating in sectors such as: finance, agriculture, real estate, technology, industrial services, construction, manufacturing, transportation, education, advertising and government. Actively involved in research and practice of new business creation in institutional and independent contexts. Investor and active board member.
